European Vacation

So for those of you readers who I don't know personally (I'm thankful for ya)
This is myself and my lovely sister and mom.
They came to visit me for a week and it was grand.
We went to Amsterdam, Paris, then Dublin.
There were many pictures taken, so I am going to do a few blog posts this week to share the whole trip.  Today I'll give ya Amsterdam!

Amsterdam is seriously one of my favorites, even though it is quite touristy.
But since the Netherlands is my home for the semester, I had to share a part of it with them.
We walked around, ate pancakes, found various significant areas from TFIOS, took pictures with I AMsterdam, went to the lovely town of Zaandam, and experienced history at the Anne Frank House.

It was also the place where my sister and mom were trying to figure out Europe,
Cause you know, it's different than the US.
The toilets are different, the roads are smaller, there's pretty much no thing as drink refills, and I still don't really know if you're supposed to tip waitresses or not.
But with my help, they kind of got the hang of it.

Now, Zaandam was a suggestion from my friends Jessie and Sophie and I'm so glad we went.
It was only a 15 minute train ride from Amsterdam and it was amazing!
It had all the "typically Dutch" things you could ever imagine, from windmills to cheese to wooden clogs.
It was magical.

The last thing we did was a canal tour, and I'm so glad we did because I hadn't done that yet (besides the gondola in Italy).
It was at night, so it was cool to see all the lights and stuff but a little difficult to get good pictures, so you will have to excuse the blurriness of some of them.

Also, Amsterdam (or all of Europe for that matter) in autumn has me lusting over nature all over the place.
So enjoy the pictures!

Me and mumsie

Then they needed one

Of course the three of us all had to get pictures with each another in the same spot...

Now, SP had my camera for a good portion of these pictures.

Giant clogs 4 lyfe.

Getting dangerous

Allegedly Hazel and Augustus's bench

(it was actually around the corner and occupied, but close enough, right?)

We really wanted it to be the bench.

Fun in the Apple Store. I want an iPhone 6+

"These leaves are HUGE!"

She took forever getting on that thing.
